About Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (स्वामी विवेकानंद जयंती के बारे में)
स्वामी विवेकानंद (1863-1902 C.E.) एक हिंदू साधु और भारत के एक देशभक्त संत थे। अंग्रेजी कैलेंडर के अनुसार उनका जन्म 12 जनवरी 1863 को कलकत्ता के एक कुलीन बंगाली परिवार में हुआ था। हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार विवेकानंद का जन्म पौष पूर्णिमा के सात दिनों के बाद कृष्ण पक्ष सप्तमी को हुआ था।
उनका जन्मदिन भी हिंदू कैलेंडर के अनुसार मनाया जाता है और इस दिन को स्वामी विवेकानंद जयंती के नाम से जाना जाता है। जैसा कि जयंती का दिन हिंदू कैलेंडर के आधार पर तय किया जाता है, यह रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर जयंती और महात्मा गांधी जयंती जैसे ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर पर तय नहीं है, जो ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर पर निश्चित दिन पर मनाया जाता है।
हालाँकि भारत सरकार ने स्वामी विवेकानंद की ग्रेगोरियन जन्म तिथि को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया है। इसलिए भारत का राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस 1985 से प्रत्येक वर्ष 12 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है।
स्वामी विवेकानंद आधुनिक हिंदू संत और हिंदू धर्म के वेदांत दर्शन के अनुयायी थे। वे रामकृष्ण के शिष्य थे। उन्होंने बेलूर मठ, रामकृष्ण मठ और रामकृष्ण मिशन की स्थापना की।
